I came across Cremelab website. It is a well designed information website in a single page. It is a clear example of how simple design can succeed in this day and age.
Interesting Web Design and Web UI
I do come across some web designs which are unique and well thought designs. The designs are out of the box and at times unconventional. One such design I came across was on Script and Style website. They have a call to action button (submit) in the banner which I have not seen before. Check the screenshot below.
